Mission Giving
At the heart of Y Groesfan is serving and supporting the wider community, whether that is locally in St Davids and Pembrokeshire or further afield in the world. We have regular mission partners and always look for where there is a need for dedicated prayer and further giving.
We do not have a regular Sunday collection. Our congregation are welcome to give as and when they feel able to. If you would like to support Y Groesfan and our Mission Giving please contact us.
Here are some of the organisations that we support.
United Mission for Worldwide
Our main mission partner is UFM which exists to support churches in making disciples of all nations. We have close ties with specific mission partners and support them through regular giving and prayer.
Tearfund & Open Doors
Tearfund partners with churches in the world’s poorest countries to tackle poverty and injustice, through sustainable development.
Open Doors supplies Bibles to Christians around the world, provides emergency relief and helps persecuted believers.
PATCH
PATCH is a Pembrokeshire based charity fighting hunger and hardship for individuals and families. Every winter our young people are involved with collecting gifts for PATCH’s Christmas Toy Appeal.
Local Causes
As part of engaging with our community, Y Groesfan also tries to support a small number of locally based organisations, chosen by our members.
Giving time
As a church, we also encourage all our members to support local community activities whether through giving time and service, or through thoughtful and committed prayer, or both!
